The Wedding Date
I had to screen The Wedding Date for Universal tonight. It was profoundly disappointing. I was hoping for a mediocre, mildly funny movie. I didn't even get that. I set my sights low and they still failed at what they did. It struck me as the most formulaic movie I'd seen - it had the sea of boring characters, then your two principles (who are only in a platonic relationship), the one offbeat character, the temptation conflict, etc. etc. etc. There is nothing original in the movie. Nothing. It's everything you've seen before. Awesome release during Sundance week, guys. Way cool.10:09:58 PM
