Throne of Blood
The Union Cinematheque has done it again. They brought in a print of Kurosawa's Throne of Blood - the same print that Criterion used to make the DVD from. It was flawless.Good turnout too. Not quite as many people turned out for this as they did for 400 Blows, but c'mon, Blood Throne has more street cred anyways.
I'd never seen the film before and really enjoyed it. Seeing the ending it that environment was unbelievable. All the air just left the room. It was electric.
Next up: Polanski's Repulsion.
