Goodbye RottenTomatoes - it was good to know you
Variety reports that RottenTomatoes.com has been sold to IGN. This is a disasterous event for anyone a fan of the site. IGN is known as one of the most dreadful websties around today - making users watch large, annoying flash ads to watch content. The worst example of IGNs abuse of it's viewers was when McDonalds launched the spectacularly bad for you McGriddle sandwich. IGN completely redesigned their site around a campaign. One of Rotten tomatoes' best features was that while it was colorful, it was easy to use, information was conveyed efficiently - and you never confused the content for an advertisement.
Those days are gone now. Goodbye, RT, you were helpful.
