Fahrenheit #1... of all time.
Looks like I was right about Fahrenheit - of course, that was an easier prediction to make than saying that the next Wayans brother movie (after White Chicks) will be loaded with race-based and gross-out humor. Fahrenheit 9/11 is the highest grossing documentary ever. I'm both happy and sad about this - I think Moore deserves the honor as he's paved the way for the modern doc makers, but I'm saddened that docs have never had the business that 21.8 could make you number one of all time. Hopefully this will serve as a wake-up call to people and let them see that docs are great and they can enjoy them. Let's hope.9:28:39 PM
More on Gunner Palace
I received a nice email from Mike Tucker today, pointing to this Guardian article on Gunner Palace. I have to say, the article does a really nice job on the film, makes me look over the trailers on the website in a different light. Mike is quoted as saying that he wants to counter the armchair patriotism that he sees in the country these days. From this angle, the trailer of the Star-Spangled Banner playing at one of Hussein's palaces only gets more haunting. I cannot wait to see it.9:22:12 PM
