Now there's a twist...
In Roger Ebert's latest "Movie Answer Man" it is shown that Attorney General John Ashcroft may indirectly profit from the release of Farenheit 9/11. In the film (and trailer) Michael Moore uses footage of Ashcroft singing a song he composed, "Let the Eagle Soar". Warner Brothers is looking to release a soundtrack for the film, if included Ashcroft would receive composing and performance fees. If this comes to pass, I'd love it. "Let the Eagle Soar" is the best song by a political figure since US Senator Orrin Hatch's Christmas Album taught us all how to appreciate the hollidays.
Of course, nothing would be complete without a link to Ashcroft Sings.

How to make 5 Billion dollars
The B-b-b-b-billionaire Mark Cuban, owner of your Dallas Mavericks and Landmark Theatres (had to tie this in somehow) gives his rules of success out. The overall message? Not surprising - work hard, and be smart about everything. However, I have to say, while reading the thing I just get an incredible feeling of "right time; right place" from Mark. However, his stuff about investors is really interesting. Someday I'll probably approach some investors for money, but, that won't be for a long time. As nice as it would be to have some money to make these things, it's better to have control over what I make. That's where the ultra-independent film buisness breaks down - unless we're Robert Rodriguez we'll never be able to pay any investors back until something big happens. (Of course, moving up a tier won't make it any easier.)Of course, Mark is making his own investments - Including his own reality show. I have to say, even though there's big cash prizes, that can't be as entertaining as him living with Dennis Rodman for a while.
Update: There's a trailer for his reality show here. It's nice to see that even he has abandoned RealMedia. Unfortunately, he went to Windows media for his video.
